QUÉBEC CITY – It’s been a busy spring for global natural stone processor Polycor. In early April, the company added Evans Limestone of Bedford, Ind., to its quarry holdings. Then, at the end of the month, Polycor announced it is now under the ownership of equity firms Birch Hill Equity Partners and Investissement Quebec. CEO Patrick Perus says the investors are committed to prioritizing sustainability, innovation, and environmental stewardship.
LAS VEGAS – Coverings 2022 wrapped up a successful show in early April, drawing some 18,000 attendees, or 18% more than last summer’s event. However, two other shows haven’t been that lucky. Cevisama, a Spanish-based ceramic and bathroom event, canceled its June show and will try again in February 2023. And Xiamen Stone Fair organizers are citing COVID-19 for the postponement of their show but are optimistic about rescheduling later this year.
